Thermographic Survey

Thermal Imaging is one aspect of the recommended regular maintenance to your switchboard and electrical system.  Using a thermal heat sensitive imaging camera, our electricians check the heat signature of your switchboard, as well as the cabling and internal switchgear.

Faults that can be detected with the camera are indicated by elevated heat that emanates from the problem area.  The causes of these faults range from a loose connection on a circuit breaker, an over current problem on a circuit or simply a loose screw, all of which are normally undetected with the naked eye.

The images are downloaded, the results are assessed and a report is created for each switchboard.  By being proactive with the Thermal Imaging Scans, our clients have the opportunity to identify potential issues before they result in costly repairs, loss of production and trade.

Thermal Imaging is an integral part of a planned, preventative maintenance program, and can be incorporated into your next annual RCD testing schedule.
